The Wardenclyffe Tower – 1901-1917

This is a 1/25th Scale model of Nikolai Tesla’s Wardenclyffe Tower.  This model consists of the skeletal structure of the tower as how it appeared just prior to the dismantling of the structure on July 4th, 1917. There would have been a second staircase added on the opposite side of the one already built. There would have also been an observation deck on the second floor of the interior that would surround the shaft. The shaft would have extended from approximately 120 feet below ground, to approximately 151 feet above ground reaching the deck of the cupola. Construction started in September of 1901, and deconstruction started on July 4th, 1917, and was fully demolished using dynamite in September of 1917.
